Whether developing a viral video campaign, securing choice speaking opportunities for clients or publicizing an event, Maureen’s creative and accessible approach distinguishes PR for the People.
Working with top Bay Area nonprofits and social enterprises, Maureen specializes in delivering compelling messages. She has a track record of placing stories in target media outlets. Her clients have appeared in numerous print, broadcast and online channels, including NBC’s Class Action; KQED; the San Francisco Chronicle; San Francisco Magazine; 7x7; the San Jose Mercury News; and the Los Angeles Times, among myriad others. Maureen’s clients have been interviewed by Bloomberg BusinessWeek, ABC’s Nightline and APM’s Marketplace radio.
In addition to leading PR for the People, Maureen teaches Marketing and Communications for Nonprofits at San Francisco State University. She serves as a founding board member of SFMade, the only organization of its kind focused on supporting small businesses that manufacture goods in San Francisco.
With a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Arts from San Francisco State, Maureen’s experience in communications includes running a nationally touring nonprofit theater; working as video editor at a professional digital film studio; and producing San Francisco’s Neighborhood Business Awards.
Maureen lives in San Francisco with her spouse, and can be found running up the city’s steep hills, playing the guitar and banjo, and spying on California’s beautiful birds.
